Uzbekistan and the New Development Bank discussed issues of strengthening cooperation

    The other day, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov visited the headquarters of the New Development Bank and held a meeting with President Dilma Rousseff.

    The parties discussed issues of establishing close cooperation in Central Asia, assistance in the implementation of significant projects in the fields of infrastructure and education development, as well as expanding the activities of the NBR to assist in the implementation of regional initiatives and potential contribution to socio-economic development.

    The new Development bank was established by the BRICS member countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). The number of member countries has been expanded with the participation of Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Uruguay and Algeria. The goal is to finance infrastructure and sustainable development projects in the BRICS countries and developing countries.
