At the meeting, held in the building of the Tashkent State University of Economics, the parties discussed the possibilities of accelerating the pace of development of bilateral trade and economic relations, expanding the scale of investment and interregional cooperation.

It was noted that in the first half of the year, trade turnover with Russia increased by 29% compared to the same period of the previous year, mainly due to exports. Over 3,000 enterprises with the participation of Russian capital operate in Uzbekistan. By the end of 2023, cargo transportation increased by an average of 35% by road and rail, and significant growth is also observed in air transportation.

The progress of the implementation of the existing agreements was reviewed, bearing in mind the implementation of investment agreements and projects reached during visits at the highest and highest levels.

Special attention is paid to organizational measures for the establishment of a branch of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade in Tashkent and the organization of the work of the Expert Center for Strategic Initiatives. After discussing in detail the practical aspects, Laziz Kudratov and Maxim Reshetnikov, accompanied by the rector of TSUE Tulkin Teshabaev, made a tour of the university and got acquainted with the conditions created for the implementation of the project.
