During the
visit, a number of meetings were held, including with the CEO of Sudair Pharma,
Yasser Ibrahim Al-Ubaida.
During the
meeting, the possibilities of cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector, as well
as issues of localization of production were discussed. The company was invited
to explore the opportunities of the Uzbek market and take part in the upcoming
V Tashkent International Investment Forum.
The Foreign
Minister also held a meeting with the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia Fahad bin Abduljalil Al-Saif.
During the
talks, it was noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia is
consistently developing on the basis of mutual trust and respect, and the
growing scale of investment partnership was emphasized. The sides exchanged
views on further expansion of bilateral relations and invited Saudi partners to
participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will be held
in June this year.
A meeting
was also held in Riyadh with the Governor of Riyadh Province, Prince Faisal bin
Bandar Al Saud.
Gratitude
was expressed for the warm hospitality extended to the delegation, noting that
it reflects the traditions and generosity of the Kingdom. They confirmed their
readiness to further strengthen relations based on mutual trust and common
aspirations, as well as to expand cooperation in priority areas.
Bakhtiyor
Saidov also held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
Warm
greetings and best wishes from President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat
Mirziyoyev were conveyed to the Minister of the Two Shrines, King Salman bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al
Saud.
The sides
exchanged views on key regional and international issues, especially the
situation in the Middle East and the importance of dialogue and diplomacy. It
was noted that bilateral cooperation continues to expand consistently,
reflecting the deepening partnership between the two countries. The parties
agreed to continue close cooperation and strengthen the multifaceted
partnership.
A meeting
was also held with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council,
Jassim Mohamed Al-Budaiwi.
Uzbekistan's
firm commitment to further strengthen cooperation with the Council was
confirmed. The positive dynamics of cooperation in various areas was noted,
issues of preparation for upcoming joint events, as well as the promotion of
practical initiatives in the economic, investment and transport-related fields
were discussed.
