Uzbekistan and South Korea discussed the development of intelligent transport in Tashkent

    A meeting was held at the Ministry of Transport with a delegation from the Ministry of Land Resources, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea (MOLIT).

    During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the transport sector and prospects for its development. In particular, an exchange of views took place on the participation of Korean companies in projects aimed at developing the transport system of our country. The possibilities of financing projects were also considered.

    During the meeting, the Korean side held a presentation of the "Draft master Plan for the development of an intelligent transport system in Tashkent" as part of proposals aimed at developing the public transport system in Tashkent.

    In particular, the smart bus (public transport) system project in Tashkent is planned to be implemented by the Korean International Contractors Association (ICAK) during 2026-2029.

    In order to increase the attractiveness of public transport in Tashkent, it is planned to implement a project to introduce a dedicated bus lane system (BRT) during 2027-2032.

    During the meeting, the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Land Resources, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea (MOLIT), Ms. Gang In Suk, announced that a grant of 40 million US dollars is planned.
