During the conversation, issues of further development of bilateral cooperation, protection of the rights of children and youth, as well as improvement of the social protection system were discussed.
As noted at the meeting, consistent reforms are being implemented in Uzbekistan to protect the interests of children and ensure their comprehensive development.
At the same time, measures aimed at improving the quality of education, improving the primary health care system, developing an inclusive environment and strengthening the mental state of young people and adolescents are important.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on ensuring quality education in schools and pre-school educational institutions, strengthening child social protection mechanisms and further expanding cooperation to improve the skills of specialists.
The parties agreed to take cooperation between Uzbekistan and UNICEF to a new level, work together to implement existing projects more effectively, and promote new initiatives aimed at ensuring children's rights.
At the end of the meeting, it was noted that it is important to further strengthen cooperation towards creating opportunities for sustainable development of children and youth.
