Uzbekistan took part in the 37th meeting of the Coordinating Electric Power Council of Central Asia

    The 37th meeting of the Coordinating Electric Power Council of Central Asia (CES of Central Asia) was held in Issyk-Kul on May 25, the press service of JSC "National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan" reports.

    The participants of the CES of Central Asia include System Operators of four countries: JSC "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan" (Kyrgyz Republic), JSC "KEGOC" (Republic of Kazakhstan), JSC "National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan" (Republic of Uzbekistan), and OAHK "Barki Tochik" (Republic of Tajikistan), Kabar reports.

    The Council was established to ensure the rational use of fuel and energy resources in the region, as well as to facilitate the implementation of the terms of intergovernmental agreements and agreements concluded by the energy entities of the participating countries.

    The meeting considered the results of the work of the United Energy System of Central Asia (UES of Central Asia) in the autumn-winter period of 2021-2022, the current mode of operation during the growing season of 2022, the expected mode of operation of the UES of Central Asia for the upcoming autumn-winter period and other issues on the agenda to ensure coordinated actions and coordination of parallel work of the UES of Central Asia for uninterrupted power supply to consumers in the region.

    In addition, in order to improve the reliability of power supply, a proposal was made to introduce WAMS into the power systems of the ECO of Central Asia. Also at the meeting, the participants considered the status of the "Joint Concept for the Development of the UES of Kazakhstan and the ECO of Central Asia".
