This decision is based on the country's progress in protecting the rights of the child. In particular, the Law "On the Protection of Children from All Forms of Violence" was adopted in May, and an intersectoral strategy and action plan are currently being developed to ensure effective protection of every child.
UNICEF noted that it is proud to cooperate with the Government of Uzbekistan in this area. Joint efforts will be aimed at creating a safe and supportive environment for every child - in the family, school and society.
