Uzbekistanis participate in the International military-patriotic gathering of youth in Almaty

    The team from Uzbekistan "Vatan tayanchi" participates in the X International military-patriotic youth Gathering "Aybin-2024" in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan reports.

    It is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of Nation No. 1, the first Minister of Defense of independent Kazakhstan, Army General Sagadat Nurmagambetov. The grand opening of the gathering took place at the Military Institute of the Army, which bears his name.

    From June 18 to 22, Uzbekistanis will compete with 42 teams from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. In total, 750 boys and girls from 14 to 17 years old participate in the competition.

    In his address to them, the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, Colonel General Ruslan Jaksylykov, noted that our peoples have long-standing strong ties, and relations between the countries have always been friendly, based on mutual trust and support.

    "Having gone through many life-changing trials together, we have managed to preserve the traditions, values and cultural and spiritual heritage of our ancestors. And today's international military-patriotic gathering is a vivid confirmation of the desire of our peoples for friendship and good-neighborliness," he stressed.
