During the conversation, the importance of the historic agreement signed between Uzbekistan Airways and Boeing during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the United States was noted. Plans to expand cooperation between Boeing, the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan Airways were also presented.
The parties discussed promising solutions to reduce CO₂ emissions using an interactive online model developed by Boeing.
The delegation was represented by Uzbekneftegaz enterprises, in particular, the Bukhara Oil Refinery, which produces Jet A-1 aviation fuel, as well as joint products of the Bukhara Refinery and Uzbekistan GTL - semi-synthetic Jet A-1 SSF fuel and GTL kerosene.
It was noted that in September 2022, Boeing officially approved the use of Jet A-1 semi-synthetic fuel for commercial flights.
During the negotiations, the prospects for the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), as well as areas of cooperation to stabilize and reduce SO₂ emissions, were considered.
Following the meeting, representatives of Boeing offered to present the achievements of Uzbekneftegaz in the field of production and use of semi-synthetic aviation fuel at international events. In addition, the parties agreed to establish a joint working group to further develop the partnership.
