Uzbek experience in tourism development is highly appreciated in Moscow

    Within the framework of the Russian Tourism Forum in Moscow, the development of international cooperation in the field of tourism was discussed.

    At the forum, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov noted that "Today Uzbekistan is implementing a very successful program to promote its country in foreign markets. We are studying this experience very carefully and would like to congratulate our colleagues on a job well done."

    In addition, he stressed that serious work is underway in Uzbekistan to develop tourism. "I am absolutely sure that the figure that we currently have in bilateral turnover is more than one million two hundred thousand tourists, we can exceed it."

    During the event, the first deputy chairman of the Tourism Committee, Jamshid Abdusalomov, shared his experience in the development of the tourism sector in Uzbekistan.

    He stressed that the tourism sector in Uzbekistan has been identified as a strategic branch of the national economy and, under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, unprecedented measures have been taken to turn the sphere into a driver of sustainable development of the country.

    "Russia and Uzbekistan have a huge untapped potential in the field of tourism, we need to cooperate more actively and on a large scale. The Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan is ready to support the tourism business of our countries in the implementation of joint projects."
