At Tashkent airport, domestic athletes set the first Guinness World Record in Uzbekistan

    On May 15, 2024, six Uzbek strongmen towed a 13-ton aircraft at Tashkent International Airport. This became an absolute record listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

    In the presence of the Commissioner of the Guinness Book of Records, Ms. Mbali Masechaba Nkosi, the team of the Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation of Uzbekistan towed a Silk Avia ATR 72-600 aircraft weighing 13,500 kg to a distance of 100 meters in just 46.7 seconds.

    It is important to note that the record was set on the first attempt. The initial condition of Guinness World Records was the requirement to meet 60 seconds. During the preliminary training, the athletes showed different results, but the 46.7 seconds demonstrated on May 15 were the best result.
