According to Thai PBS, students from one of the schools in Uthaithani province came on a sightseeing tour to the Thai capital on a double-decker bus carrying 38 children and 6 teachers. Eyewitnesses claim that they observed an explosion in the back of the bus, after which the vehicle was engulfed in fire. According to the preliminary investigation, the bus allegedly burst a tire, as a result of which it crashed into a metal fence, because of this, its fuel tank caught fire. Transport Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit said that his department will consider the issue of the safety of using natural gas as a motor fuel.
