According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, the participants of the meeting considered the issue of preparing the fifth anniversary Consultative Meeting of the heads of Central Asian states, the Dunyo news agency reports.
During the consultations, the draft agenda, Joint Statement and other documents planned for adoption following the upcoming Dushanbe summit were thoroughly discussed.
The parties also considered the issues of preparation for 12 parallel events planned by Tajikistan to be held within the framework of the upcoming Consultative Meeting.
The consultations were held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding.
Recall that the initiative to hold consultative meetings was put forward by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in 2017 at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. The first summit of the heads of state was held in March 2018 in the capital of Kazakhstan, the second - in November 2019 in Tashkent, the third - in August 2021 in the Avaza tourist zone in Turkmenistan and the fourth - in July 2022 in the city of Cholpon-Ata in Kyrgyzstan.
