The event was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoev, more than 70 representatives of the US Congress, the White House, the State Department, leading federal agencies, international companies, business associations, as well as diplomatic and expert circles.
The participants exchanged views on the ongoing reforms in the New Uzbekistan, changes in the field of public administration, the implementation of human rights, in the fields of economics, education, gender equality and foreign policy.
In their speeches, US congressmen praised the published book and recognized President Shavkat Mirziyoyev as a modern political leader and head of state striving for democratic reforms.
It was emphasized that since 2017, Uzbekistan and the United States have established close cooperation in the field of education and youth policy, thousands of students and specialists from Uzbekistan have the opportunity to improve their skills in the United States.
It was emphasized that the new foreign policy of Uzbekistan is based on the principles of openness, dialogue and pragmatism.
During the event, attention was paid to achievements in the fields of education, health, gender policy and social protection, in particular women's rights, and youth capacity building.
At the end of the presentation, an agreement was reached to organize a series of round tables and analytical meetings based on the content of the book, as well as to discuss the prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States within their framework.
