A fish breeding cluster is being created in the Nukus district

    Minister of Innovative Development Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov got acquainted with the work carried out in the fish-breeding cluster being created in the Nukus Innovation District.

    The Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan has funded two startup projects to create a fish-breeding cluster in the Nukus innovation district in 2022 - "Development of fisheries in the Aral Sea region, as well as restoration of endangered fish species" LLC "Bostanova Nesibeli" and "Growing fish by innovative recycling intensive way" LLC "AMU ARAL SAZANI".

    LLC "Bostanova Nesibeli" has built an incubator shop for growing fish fry and purchased the necessary equipment for it. It is expected to grow 10 tons of fish fry per year, it will be supplied to fish farms on a contractual basis. Breeding of carp, white amur and silver carp fry is planned in the incubator shop.

    LLC "AMU ARAL SAZANI" grows commercial fish by innovative recycling method on an area of 3 hectares of artificial lake. To date, the company has imported innovative equipment from China worth 3.5 billion soums and installed 10 artificial pools using Chinese technology. Through these 10 artificial ponds, fish farming regimes are managed (feeding fish, maintaining optimal water temperature, oxygen saturation, etc.) on an artificial lake with an area of 3 hectares.

    The company plans to generate revenue of 4 billion soums by growing 100 tons of products per year on an area of 3 hectares. In the coming years, it is planned to install fish production lines at the expense of the company's revenues, as a result of the implementation of these projects, 30 new jobs will be created in the Nukus district, the press service of the Ministry of Innovation reports.
