The exhibition was opened at the end of November 2022 at the Institute of the Arab World in Paris. For the first time, the European public was able to get acquainted with the objects of decorative and applied art of Uzbekistan: a collection of textiles, clothing and footwear, hats and jewelry. The exhibition includes more than 300 exhibits from the collections of 9 museums of Uzbekistan.
The project was a great success with the European public. Since its opening, it has been visited by more than 185 thousand spectators.
The exhibition "The Road to Samarkand. Wonders of Silk and Gold" was organized by the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan.
