The exhibition of modern paintings of Uzbekistan opened in the Palace of Arts of Minsk

    Culture & Arts 14 February 2025 1485

The large-scale project is being carried out within the framework of cooperation between the Unions of Artists of Belarus and Uzbekistan and is aimed at familiarizing the Belarusian public with the rich and original art of modern Uzbek masters.

The exhibition presents work by artists of several generations. Each work is a deep reflection of national identity, where there is a place for Eastern philosophy and new trends.

Uzbek painting is developing in new artistic forms, including avant-garde, postmodernism, abstraction and realism, and is attracting more and more fans. The search for humanistic values is combined with the search for the expression of national identity, the comprehension of their unique historical and cultural traditions.

The exhibition at the Palace of Arts, featuring 42 unique works, demonstrates this process in all its versatility. Among the authors are outstanding Uzbek masters, academicians, folk artists, as well as talented representatives of the new wave from Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Karshi.

Opening the exhibition, Rakhmatulla Nazarov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus, Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States, noted the importance of interaction between artists of the two countries, who are becoming creatively closer to each other, and stressed:

    - Many exhibitions in Uzbekistan are held with the participation of Belarusian artists and sculptors. This is a pleasant event because there are many talented people living in both countries. Painters establish communication, share their creativity, thanks to which they advance in art, find new forms of expressing their ideas. I would like to thank my colleagues from the diplomatic corps who are involved in organizing the exhibition. I am sure that the event will attract many art lovers and will give them only the most pleasant impressions.

The exhibition is held at the Republican Art Gallery of the Belarusian Union of Artists in the Palace of Arts. You can get acquainted with her masterpieces until February 23.
