Tolerance Garden opened in Yangi Uzbekistan Park

    At a briefing in AIMK, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs Davronbek Makhmudov presented information about religious tolerance and approaches in Uzbekistan.

    To date, the justice authorities have registered a total of 2,330 religious organizations in different regions of the republic.

    Of these, 2,139 are Islamic religious organizations, 174 are Christian, 8 are Jewish, 6 are Baha'i communities, 1 is the society of Krishna Consciousness, 1 is a Buddhist temple and 1 is the Bible Society of Uzbekistan.

    In Uzbekistan, representatives of more than 130 nationalities and 16 religious denominations live in peace and harmony based on the principle of tolerance.

    Yesterday, on April 5, the Tolerance Garden was opened in the Yangi Uzbekistan Park with the participation of representatives of 16 religious denominations of the republic.

    Currently, there are five higher and 10 secondary specialized religious educational institutions in the republic.
