The Second meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia was held in the Moscow region

    On October 22, the Second meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia was held in the Moscow region. The Uzbek delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, and the Russian delegation was headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.

    The Forum confirmed the high level of strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries. Currently, 14 regions of Uzbekistan maintain stable ties with more than 50 subjects of the Russian Federation, and the total portfolio of joint projects has exceeded $ 6.2 billion.

    The main topics of the meeting were the development of trade and economic cooperation, industrial cooperation, agricultural cooperation and cultural and humanitarian partnership.

    Special attention was paid to e-commerce, the creation of joint industrial enterprises, the development of wholesale distribution centers, as well as the introduction of dual education to train specialists in demand in the labor markets of the two countries.

    As a result of the meeting, more than 30 agreements were signed between the regions of Russia and Uzbekistan, covering trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian spheres. The event was another step in strengthening practical interregional cooperation.
