The document provides for the attraction of funds from the Republic of Korea in the amount of 4.3 million US dollars. Also, in order to develop the sphere, a trilateral memorandum was signed between the GS-Bio joint venture, which carries out activities to improve potato cultivation technology in the Samarkand region, the International Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Production of Korea and the Samarkand Institute of Agricultural Innovation and Research.

From September 12 to 15, leading experts from the expert group of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Areas of the Republic of Korea, the Rural Settlements Development Corporation visited Samarkand.

Korean experts visited the farms of the region engaged in potato seed production, studied its current state. With the participation of scientists and researchers of the Institute, training seminars were held on the prospects for improving potato seed production, organizing INVITRO laboratories and greenhouses, and a bilateral memorandum on the development of the sphere was signed.

In the future, the Institute's scientists will improve their knowledge, skills and qualifications in potato seed production at the Korean Rural Development Corporation. Professors of this country will organize practical classes for students of the 3rd-4th courses.
