The International Day of the Nurse was worthily celebrated in Tashkent

    A festive event dedicated to May 12, the International Day of the Nurse, was held at the Alisher Navoi Cinema Palace in the capital. The ceremony was opened by Acting Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Asilbek Khudayarov with a congratulatory speech.

    Chairman of the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Health Workers of Uzbekistan Farkhod Khanapiyaev also congratulated the dedicated nurses on the holiday.

    It was noted at the event that nursing is one of the most advanced areas of Uzbek medicine in recent years. First of all, a lot of changes took place in the field of training, retraining and advanced training of secondary medical workers, then huge steps were taken towards applying foreign experience.

    In addition, an important event was the establishment of the Academy of Nurses in our country, which provides higher education to nurses, and the formation of a joint faculty with the University of Medical Sciences of Turkey.

    An important event is the establishment of patronage midwives in primary health care institutions in the country starting in 2024.

    During the festive event, the winners of the first, second and third places of the competition "The best secondary medical and pharmaceutical worker of the Year" in 15 nominations (45 people in total) were awarded with commemorative gifts.

    The names of three nurses selected on the basis of transparent and fair conditions and criteria from among the 15 employees who took first places at the regional stages of the Republican Nurse 2024 Competition were also announced.

    Among them are Nazokat Mirsadieva from Tashkent region (first place), Hulkar Kazakbayeva from the Republic of Karakalpakstan (second place) and Ozodakhon Kimsanova from Andijan region (third place).

    After the award ceremony, the artistic part of the event took place, in which famous artists, pop stars performed songs praising love for the Motherland, kindness and nobility.
