The official guests of the ceremony were Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Umar Kremlev, Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee Oybek Kasimov, Deputy Chairman of the NOC, First Deputy Chairman of the Boxing Federation of the country Saken Polatov.

Abdulla Aripov made a speech, greeted the guests of the prestigious starts and spoke about the effective reforms carried out in our country by the respected President. Then Umar Kremlev congratulated the boxing family on the sports day and declared the World Championship officially open.

During the event, Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Bokhodir Jalolov made an oath on behalf of the boxers, noting that he would conduct an honest and transparent fight at the upcoming competitions. The ceremony continued with a festive concert.

The World Championship will be held from May 1 to May 14.
