The domestic team under the leadership of Jurabek Zoirov and Nurillo Togaev will compete in almost every weight category included in the competition program.
Yesterday, at the opening ceremony, Minister of Sports Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, President of the International Weightlifting Federation Mohammed Jalud, President of the Asian Weightlifting Federation Mohamed Yusuf al Mana spoke.
Officials noted that such competitions play an important role in strengthening the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the population and expressed confidence that in the future the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be played more than once at the largest and most prestigious competitions.
