The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, together with a representative of the Agency for External Labor Migration, the Society for the Protection of the Rights of Uzbek Women and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey, organized the search and return of our compatriot to her homeland.

According to the telegram channel of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, the search was launched after a 21-year-old resident of Karshi asked for help, who said that his mother had left for Istanbul 4 years ago and had not communicated with him for 3 years, the Dune news agency reports.

As a result of the investigative actions, it turned out that the Uzbek citizen H.D. had been held since 2020 by a resident of the Turkish city of Ushak, a Turkish citizen M.G. against her will.

The compatriot was rescued and taken to the Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Ushak.

According to Turkish law, a criminal case has been initiated against M.G. for detaining a person against his will.

Currently, the relevant work is continuing on the return of our compatriot H.D. to her homeland.

In this regard, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul recommends that Uzbek citizens intending to leave the country do not put their will and lives at risk by believing lies and empty promises, and in case of a difficult situation, contact the Embassy of our country in Ankara or the Consulate General in Istanbul.
