The main objectives of the fight against childhood cancer in Uzbekistan for 2025-2030 have been identified:

·       increasing the proportion of early detection of cancer in children to 65 percent;

·       an increase in the one-year survival rate of children with oncological and oncohematological diseases from 34 percent to 90 percent, and a five-year survival rate to at least 60%;

·       ensuring 100% coverage of children suffering from cancer with specialized medical care.

The National Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Combating Childhood Cancer for 2025-2030 (Strategy) has been developed.

The resolution approved a comprehensive program of measures for the implementation of the National Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to combat childhood Cancer for 2025-2026.

The Strategy implementation project will be implemented on the basis of medical institutions in the city of Samarkand and Ishtykhan district. In the future, as the necessary conditions are created, its coverage will expand to other regions of the country.
