Branches of diversified medical institutions in Spain may open in Uzbekistan

    The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Spain Farrukh Tursunov met with the heads of the international relations departments of the Spanish multidisciplinary medical institutions "HM Hospitales Group" and "Quiron Hospital Group" Jorge Alvarez and Monica Figuerola.

    During the meeting, issues of establishing mutually beneficial relations between medical institutions of Uzbekistan and these clinics were discussed, in particular in the field of advanced training of medical personnel, conducting research projects, and the possibility of establishing branches of companies in Uzbekistan, the Dunyo news agency reports.

    Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a visit of representatives of Spanish companies to Uzbekistan in September and identify areas of cooperation through negotiations in relevant ministries and institutions of the republic.

    The HM Hospitales Group company, founded in 1989, currently has more than 70 medical departments (21 general hospitals, 21 specialized clinical centers, 14 integrated centers, 22 polyclinics). It employs five thousand medical workers. Special clinical centers specialize in oncology, cardiology, neurology, reproductive medicine, dentistry and ophthalmology. In 2023, the company's total revenue will amount to 650 million euros.

    In turn, the Quiron Hospital Group, founded in the 1950s, is currently the third largest medical institution in Europe. It consists of 55 general hospitals, 150 outpatient centers and 300 preventive centers. The number of employees is more than 50 thousand. The company has clinics in Colombia, Peru and the UAE. The average annual revenue of the company is 3.5 billion euros.
