It was noted that in recent years, the country has consistently implemented systemic reforms aimed at improving human dignity and reliably protecting the rights and interests of women and children.

The Law is a logical continuation of these reforms, it defines the legal status of the concept of "the best interests of the child" and it is fixed as a priority criterion in resolving any issues related to the child.

According to the relevant amendments to the Family Code, it is established that when considering any issue affecting the interests of a child in the family, the child has the right to freely express his opinion.

At the same time, the powers of State bodies to protect the rights of women affected by harassment and violence are also being expanded.

Thus, the National Agency for Social Protection is granted the right to file applications, complaints and lawsuits to the courts without paying a state fee in order to protect the rights and legitimate interests of persons affected by harassment and violence, as well as to participate in court sessions through its authorized representative.

In addition, social guarantees related to the placement of victims of harassment and violence in special centers are being clarified. It is stipulated that a period of no more than one month from the moment the victim is placed in a special center for harassment and violence is the basis for issuing him a temporary disability certificate.

The senators stressed that this Law opens a new stage in the protection of the rights of children and women and serves to further strengthen the principles of humanism and social justice in society.

At the end of the discussion, the senators approved the Law.
