It was established that in 2021, the man created a channel in the Telegram messenger, where he posted extremist materials promoting radical ideas and distributed them to nine subscribers. He also came into contact with an instructor and media propagandist of the international terrorist organization Katiba Tawhid wal-Jihad operating in Syria through the social network Instagram, and was influenced by his appeals.
Later, he corresponded with the aim of clarifying the order of the "jihad" in Syria, expressing a desire to join this organization. Moreover, he created a so-called "jamoah" from among his acquaintances and former classmates, urging them to "hijratah" - to resettle in Syria and join the ranks of terrorist groups.
Thanks to the prompt actions of the competent authorities, his illegal intentions were stopped in a timely manner.
Following the trial, the Furkat District Criminal Court of the Ferghana region found him guilty under paragraph "d" of part 3 of Article 2441 and part 1 of Article 2442 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The court sentenced him to 6 years in prison.
