Mass events with free distribution of goods have been banned in Uzbekistan

    Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On strengthening the requirements for ensuring the safety of citizens and maintaining public order during mass events" dated 06/28/2024 No. 360 was adopted.

    The document introduces a ban on attracting the public to public events by distributing food, goods and other products and material assets for free or selling them at a reduced price for advertising, promotional and other purposes.

    The National Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the relevant ministries and departments, were instructed to strengthen control over the strict observance by the organizers of public events and the administrations of the event facilities of the requirements established by this decision.

    In case of violation of the norms of holding mass events, the organizers of mass events and the administration will be held accountable in accordance with the procedure established by the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

    The document was published in the National Database of Legislation in the state language and entered into force on 06/29/2024, Norma reports.
