Vladimir Putin leads the Russian presidential election

    After processing 99.01% of the protocols in the Russian presidential election, the current head of state, Vladimir Putin, wins 87.33% of the votes. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Central Election Commission (CEC).

    Candidate and current President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin (self-nominated) wins 87.33% of the votes, head of the State Duma Committee for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Nikolai Kharitonov (KPRF) wins 4.31% of the votes, Chairman of the LDPR Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) - 3.19% of the votes, Vice Speaker of the State Duma Vladislav Davankov ("New People") - 3.79% of votes.

    The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. The voting took place over three days: on March 15, 16 and 17.
