Car-free zones have been created in all regions of Uzbekistan

    In order to create comfortable conditions for tourists, organize their meaningful recreation and free hiking, the Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan has identified areas in each region where car traffic is prohibited.

    For example, a zone has been created in the historical center of Bukhara from the Toki Telpakfroshon cultural heritage site to the Ark Fortress parking lot. In the Andijan region - in the city of Khanabad, and in the Ferghana region - at the I. Karimov Palace of Arts in Ferghana, as well as in the parks "Eco-Shahar", Ahmad al-Ferghani and E. Vahidov recreation in Margilan, on Urda Square in Kokand and on the tourist street "Istiqlol".

    In Samarkand, a 2.5 km long stretch of road in the Konigil tourist village functions as a traffic-free zone. I. Karimov Street, 1.5 km long, connecting Registan Square and the Shahi Zinda complex, is also completely closed to cars.

    In addition, automobile traffic is prohibited on the following sites and streets:

    · Republic of Karakalpakstan: Dustlik Canal Street, Dustlik Recreation Center (Nukus);

    · Andijan region: Istiqlol, Urikzor, Sarikuy streets (Andijan city);

    · Jizzakh region: Zargarlik Mahalla, Sindor Hamrokulov Street, Hamid Alimjan Museum and Zulfiyakhanum, Urda Ecological Park;

    · Namangan region: U. Nasyr and Lutfi streets (Mahalla Obi khayet);

    · Kashkadarya region: historical Shakhrisabz Square, Miraki Tourist Center (Shakhrisabz district), Mustakillik Street (Karshi city);

    · Syrdarya region: 0.72 km section of Alisher Navoi Street (Gulistan);

    · Tashkent city: Mirabad district, Taras Shevchenko Street;

    · Tashkent region: Tashkent Yuli Street (Karasu Mahalla), 1 km section in Oybek Mahalla, Angren city - Bunyodkor Street, Dustlik Mahalla - 0.9 km section along S. Rakhmatova Street;

    · Navoi region: New Uzbekistan Park, Spirituality and Enlightenment Park, Sarmishsay Museum-Reserve, Yoshlik Lake;

    · Surkhandarya region: the city of Termez, A. Navoi Street (inner road, Alpomish mahalla);

    · Khorezm region: Arda Khiva tourist complex with an area of 24.5 hectares (Khiva city).

    Such measures create safe and comfortable conditions for tourists, allowing them to enjoy walks, sightseeing and cultural sites without car traffic.
