In accordance with the amendments to the Constitutional Law "On the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan":
It has been established that a deputy of the Legislative Chamber cannot simultaneously be a deputy of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, representative bodies of state power of regions, districts, cities.
It is also established that the same person cannot be the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber for more than two consecutive terms.
In accordance with the amendments made to the Law "On the status of a deputy of the Legislative Chamber and a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan", a deputy and a senator are granted paid annual leave of 36 working days (except in cases where the legislation provides for a vacation with a longer period).
According to the amendments to the Law "On Normative Legal Acts", all contradictions and ambiguities in legislation arising in the relationship of a person with government agencies are interpreted in favor of a person, the Ministry of Justice reports.
