These include the development of agriculture through the introduction of digital technologies, the development of potato and rice growing sectors, sustainable forest management, protection of desert biodiversity, responding to the risks of drought and salinization, the development of beekeeping, greenhouse farming, locust control and much more.
At the first Tashkent International Investment Forum, Mr. Ganji acted as a speaker at the panel session "Modernization of production and new agricultural markets" and shared his recommendations for further improvement of activities to support the most vulnerable social groups of the population and ensure food security in the country.
"Over the past five years, Uzbekistan has carried out unprecedented comprehensive reforms in the agricultural sector, including the introduction of market mechanisms, advanced technologies and the transition to a cluster production system. The Tashkent Investment Forum provides an excellent opportunity to better understand the volume and sequence of necessary investments, the role of public and private investments, and to find possible incentives for private investors in agriculture," Nabil Ganji mentioned.
