Samarkand continues to receive foreign delegations from 130 countries on the eve of the 25th anniversary session of the General Assembly of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
On July 10, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism hosted a meeting between First Deputy Minister U. Azamov and member of the Council for National Minorities under the Government of Lithuania L. Urmanova.
These days, the summit of the World Federation of Tourist Cities - WTCF is taking place in Changsha, China. Representatives of 159 tourist cities from 83 countries of the world take part in it. The Republic of Uzbekistan is represented at the WTCF summit by a delegation headed by Rustam Khabilov, Head of the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Samarkand region.
