ADIPEC-2025: Uzbekistan participated in the international discussion on energy security and sustainable development

    The international forums on artificial intelligence and energy, "ENACT Majlis" and "ADIPEC 2025", will be held in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) from November 2-6, 2025.

    Ministers and heads of the world's leading companies in the field of fuel and energy complex, digitalization and artificial intelligence took part in their work. The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov is among the participants.

    At the forums, special attention was paid to the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in the energy sector and the development of digital solutions. The urgency of issues related to the production and transmission of electricity, the operation of data centers and digital communication systems was noted. There was also an exchange of experience on sustainable energy development, modernization of the industry, increasing the flexibility of energy systems and the introduction of innovative models of public-private partnership.

    A ministerial round table on "Strengthening energy security and sustainability through diversification" was held within the framework of the international forum. The participants discussed key global energy trends - security, sustainability and a new stage in the diversification of energy sources. The focus was on practical approaches to meeting the growing global energy demand.

    During the events, meetings were held with the UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies Sultan Ahmad Al-Jaber, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al-Mazroui, as well as with the heads of Masdar, AMEA Power, Etihad Waters, XRG, Global South Utilities, Siemens Energy (Germany), Honeywell Global Regions, Honeywell Process Solutions, SLB (USA), BP (UK) and other partner organizations.

    During the negotiations, the progress of joint projects, the results achieved and long-term plans for the development of "green" energy and the oil and gas industry between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates were discussed.

    It was noted that together with Masdar, Uzbekistan has already commissioned five solar power plants and one wind power plant with a total capacity of 1,247 MW, as well as an energy storage system with a capacity of 63 MW, ensuring sustainable production and storage of "green" energy. In addition, the construction of a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 300 MW continues in Kashkadarya region.

    Agreements were signed during the forum.:

    with Masdar company - on the construction of an energy storage system with a capacity of 300 MW/600 MWh in Navoi region;

    with AMEA Power, on the implementation of a 200 MW/800 MWH project.

    These initiatives are aimed at further strengthening Uzbekistan's energy independence, developing renewable energy sources and introducing advanced technologies for a sustainable and environmentally sound future for the country.
