It is noted that in recent days, cases of posting posts on social networks to raise funds for the repatriation of the bodies of deceased compatriots working abroad have become more frequent. At the same time, fraudsters distribute plastic card numbers using outdated or incorrect information and profit from people's feelings.
"We ask you to be vigilant and not transfer money to questionable banking details. To resolve issues of repatriation, you should contact only official authorities - the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan," the message says.
The ministry noted that in the event of the death of an Uzbek citizen abroad, the costs of transporting the body to their homeland are covered by the Migration Fund.
