In October 2023, scientists and professors from the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Northwestern University of China visited the archaeological site of Ahsikent. It was decided to organize an annual joint expedition in 2024 with a team of scientists who took part in the excavations for two days.
"The walls of the outer city, built of mud bricks and straw after the four-year Ferghana-Chinese war in the first century BC, stand as if they were built yesterday, although more than 2 thousand years have passed. I was very impressed by the creation of an Archaeological Park on the basis of the monument "Ahsikent". In this regard, Uzbekistan is reaching the level of China, Italy and Turkey," says Professor Liu Tao from the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
There are also open-air museums in China, which are recognized as the main tourist attractions.
