United Nations Security Council votes to remove sanctions against Ahmad al-Sharaa

    The United Nations Security Council has removed sanctions against the President of Syria Ahmad al-Sharaa and the Minister of Internal Affairs Anas Khattab.

    The UN Security Council voted to remove sanctions against Ahmad al-Sharaa, the transitional President of Syria, reported by correspondent of RIA Novosti.

    Fourteen members of the Security Council, including Russia, supported the resolution. No one voted against it. Only China abstained.

    Sanctions against Syrian Minister of Internal Affairs Anas Khattab were also removed, reported by ria.ru.
