Cooperation established with KATA

The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea held a videoconference with the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA) to establish cooperation on development of tourist exchange between the two countries.

The event was attended by the leadership and responsible employees of the State Committee for Tourism Development and KATA, as well as representatives of Korea’s leading tour operators Hana Tour and Modetour.

Views were exchanged on the areas of cooperation for introduction of safe tourism system and activation of advertising and marketing activities to promote tourism potential of Uzbekistan among Korean travelers.

Following the event, an agreement was reached on working out the issue of signing a bilateral agreement that will serve as a regulatory framework for establishing long-term cooperation in tourism.

The development of the eco-tourist facility "Jeyran" has begun

The first symbolic brick was laid for the building in the Jeyran nursery located in the south-west of the Kyzylkum desert, 42 km from Bukhara. The development of an eco-tourism facility is aimed at increasing the possibilities of the nursery and creating favorable conditions for visiting tourists and local guests.
