The conference emphasized the need for increased attention and collective action aimed at ending child trafficking. A comprehensive overview of the current situation with child trafficking was also provided, including an analysis of current trends, vulnerabilities and risk factors exposing children to human trafficking, and gaps in existing response measures, as well as promising methods and modern tools to combat this crime and protect children in the OSCE region.
"Uzbekistan expresses its firm commitment in the fight against human trafficking. The country pays systematic attention to improving national legislation and law enforcement practices to prevent child trafficking based on international standards," Surayo Rakhmonova emphasized during her speech.
It is worth noting that representatives of 57 OSCE participating States, including Uzbekistan and 11 cooperation partners, are taking part in the Alliance's conference on combating Human trafficking.
