EBRD plans to hold a shareholders’ meeting in 2023 in Uzbekistan

    The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) plans to hold a 2023 shareholders meeting in Uzbekistan. This was announced by the president of the financial institution Odile Renault-Basso, Intellinews reports.

    Reno-Basso said last year was special as the EBRD has made a very high level of investment in Uzbekistan. The funds invested by the EBRD in the country’s economy in 2020 amounted to $ 1.8 billion.

    “The Annual Meeting is a good opportunity to exchange views with countries and businesses of all countries to better regulate and prove that the bank is meeting the needs of the countries,” said Renault-Basso.

    Note that to date, the bank has invested 1.85 billion euros in the economy of Uzbekistan, participating in 79 projects.
