India launches first long-range hypersonic missile

    "India has reached an important milestone by successfully conducting flight tests of a long—range hypersonic missile from Abdul Kalama Island off the coast of Odisha," the head of the defense department said.

    Singh called the launch a historic event, adding that India can now consider itself one of the chosen states with advanced and critical technologies.
