"In December, Roscosmos signed a state contract with NPO Lavochkin to carry out work until 2036 on the creation of a Russian lunar power plant. The terms of the contract: 2025-2036," the release says.

It is specified that the purpose of the station's creation is to supply power to the lunar rovers and the observatory of the Russian Lunar Program, as well as infrastructure facilities of the International Scientific Lunar Station. Experts intend to develop spacecraft, conduct ground testing, flight tests and come to the deployment of infrastructure on the Earth's satellite.
