The Corporation of the Republic of Korea will build a waste recycling plant in the Jizzakh region

    A delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Iskander Kutbiddinov visited the capital of the Republic of Korea, Seoul.

    During the visit, negotiations were held with a number of companies on cooperation in the field of waste recycling. The delegation was also familiarized with the activities of enterprises that receive "green" energy through waste incineration. In addition, negotiations were held with representatives of the Export-Import Bank of Korea.

    During the visit, I. Kutbiddinov met with Chairman of the Korean Environmental Corporation (K-eco) under the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Korea B. Ahn. During the meeting, an agreement was reached to strengthen mutual cooperation and exchange experience in the field of environmental safety.

    As a result of the meeting, a 4-year grant agreement was signed for a total of 6.2 million US dollars for the construction of a waste recycling plant in the Jizzakh region.

    For information: within the framework of the project, it is planned to reclaim a landfill, collect 300,000 m3 of waste, fill it with soil, collect and burn landfill gas by pyrolysis, install equipment for electricity generation (electric generator).
