The exhibition features more than 50,000 artifacts, including a complete collection of legendary treasures from the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Many of the exhibits are on public display for the first time. The construction of a large-scale project worth more than a billion dollars began back in 2005, but due to political differences, regional conflicts and the coronavirus pandemic, it was completed only 20 years later. The opening ceremony was held on a grand scale. President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi called the event "a new chapter in the history of Egypt." According to him, the museum is designed to stimulate the development of the tourism industry. It is expected that about 5 million people will visit it annually. 24.kz.
