The Ministry of Energy has opened a new hotline for citizens wishing to file a complaint about cases of coercion to install solar panels. This is reported by the press service of the department.

Since October 9, applications are accepted by phone (+998) 71 231-16-61 (ext. 7037, 7046, 7057), in addition to the already existing office reception number (+998) 71 231-14-41.

From October 7 (from 12:00) to October 8 (until 20:30), 1232 calls were received at the reception of the Ministry of Energy. Due to the high workload, one operator could not cope with the flow of requests, and the ministry's press service joined the work.

During this period, the specialists of the Ministry of Energy were able to answer 131 calls, while each of them lasted on average from three to six minutes. At the same time, another 4 to 8 calls were received on the line, which could not be accepted due to a lack of operators.

Of the appeals received, 31 related to cases of pressure on businesses in connection with the installation of solar panels. Six subscribers stated that there was no need for mandatory installation of panels, eight reported self-installations and denied the fact of coercion.

The Ministry of Energy noted that only 17 calls related to real problems caused by the lack of installed photo panels. Responsible specialists promptly reviewed the appeals and restored power supply to several enterprises located in four districts of Tashkent, as well as in Tashkent, Syrdarya, Surkhandarya and Ferghana regions. Representatives of the ministry recommended that entrepreneurs contact in case of repeated difficulties.

During the same period, 54 applications were received regarding benefits or the possibility of purchasing solar panels at a reduced price. Another 28 calls were related to power outages due to outdated infrastructure, and 18 related to thanks and other topics.
