According to information from the Uzbek Hydrometeorological Service, a sharp increase in air temperature is predicted in Uzbekistan from June 16. In the coming days, daytime temperatures will reach 40-42 °C, and in the southern and desert regions - up to 43-44 °C.

In this regard, the Ministry of Health recalls the need to take precautions during the heat wave, especially for the elderly, children, pregnant women and people with chronic diseases.

Avoid exposure to the sun between 10:00 and 17:00.

Wear light, light-colored clothes made of natural fabrics, a headdress and sunglasses.

Drink at least 3 liters of water a day. Avoid cold, carbonated, energy, and alcoholic beverages.

Give preference to light food, there should be more vegetables and fruits in the diet.

Take a warm shower and cool your body regularly with a damp cloth.

Special attention should be paid to the symptoms of sunstroke: dizziness, nausea, weakness, rapid breathing and palpitations. In this case, it is urgently necessary to move the victim to the shade, lay him down, cool the body and seek medical help.

It is also not recommended to engage in physical labor outdoors. In conditions of heat, the risk of dehydration and cardiovascular complications, including heart attack and stroke, increases significantly.

The Ministry of Health urges citizens to be vigilant and take responsibility for their well-being in hot weather.
