At the same time, many of our compatriots use the services of such "masters" offering skin cleansing from excess fat, peeling, facial massage, laser hair removal, Botox, mesotherapy and other interventions.

At the same time, the number of complaints related to unpleasant consequences after such procedures on the face of women has increased significantly recently.

Complaints are increasingly appearing on social networks from those who, after contacting a cosmetologist to fix imperfections, received new, unexpected problems instead of the expected result.

So how justified are these appeals? What is the real situation?

According to the data, today in our country 147 non-governmental medical organizations have a license to operate in the field of medical cosmetology. The largest number of them - 94 works in the city of Tashkent.

If we add beauty salons and institutions that do not have the status of a medical organization, this figure will become much higher.

Of course, I am glad that the number of institutions offering beauty and health services to women is increasing. However, it should be remembered that cosmetology procedures are medical activities that must be performed exclusively by doctors and are subject to licensing!

Despite this, there are more and more cases when individual beauty salons and private clinics provide such services on the basis of certificates that have no legal force.

As the study showed, no such negative cases have been identified in the practice of private medical organizations licensed to operate in the field of medical cosmetology.

The majority of complaints to law enforcement agencies are related to complications and side effects caused by the activities of persons without a license and medical education. After all, working without a license means using non-certified drugs and equipment, as well as ignorance of the basics of anatomy and physiology.

"The main reason for such problems is that in ordinary beauty salons and cosmetology centers that are not medical institutions, procedures are performed by people without appropriate education and training," says Ulugbek Sabirov, director of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology.

- They register as individual entrepreneurs or self-employed and work officially, but since they are not doctors, their activities are not subject to control by the health authorities.

In this regard, measures are being taken to strengthen the legal framework in this area. In particular, the Ministry of Health has developed a Regulation on the procedure for the provision of medical cosmetology services and an order for its approval.

This document establishes the procedure for the provision of certain medical cosmetology services by public health institutions, as well as requirements for cosmetologists.

Given the current situation and the incoming appeals from citizens, the Ministry of Health warns:

If you want to use the services of medical cosmetology, contact exclusively specialized public medical institutions or a private medical organization licensed for this type of activity.
