JSC "Thermal Power Plants" is implementing another investment project for the introduction of modern, highly efficient and energy-saving technologies in the field of electricity generation.

The investment project will be implemented at Talimardzhanskaya TPP. Here, by 2025, two more combined-cycle gas plants with a total capacity of at least 900 MW will be built, and the general contractors of the project will be INTECSA Ingeniera Industrial S.A. (Italy) and Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan).

The signing ceremony of the contract between Talimarjanskaya TPP JSC and INTECSA Ingeniera Industrial S.A. and Mitsubishi Corporation took place at Thermal Power Plants JSC. This project will be implemented at the expense of concessional loan funds of the Asian Development Bank.

The new investment project is aimed at providing reliable electricity to consumers of the Samarkand and Bukhara regions, seven pumping stations on the Karshi main canal and many other settlements.

As a result of the increase in generating capacity at Talimarjan TPP, an additional 7.2 billion kW will be generated hours of electrical energy per year. At the same time, 520 million cubic meters of natural gas will be saved due to the use of highly economical technologies.

The amount of CO2 emissions and pollutants into the environment will be reduced by 1,500 tons per year, the press service of JSC "Thermal Power Plants" reports.
