During the conversation, issues of further strengthening cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries were discussed.
In particular, they noted the need to further develop the activities of the interparliamentary friendship groups Uzbekistan-Iran and Iran-Uzbekistan, exchange experience at the parliamentary level and support joint initiatives.
Special attention was also paid to the development of the activities of local Councils, support for initiatives in the regions and cooperation on the application of best practices in the activities of representative bodies. They expressed their mutual willingness to establish a permanent dialogue and interaction in this area.
The sides stressed that the regular continuation of the inter-parliamentary dialogue, the effective use of opportunities and the implementation of joint initiatives serve to bring friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Iran to a new level.
